Public Works Announces Comprehensive Maintenance Map for Highways and Areas in the Country's Governorates

Continuing its periodic and phased schedule, the Ministry of Public Works announced its comprehensive major maintenance work distribution plan for the current week, running from July 11 to 16, 2026. These works are being carried out to activate the new system of 18 road maintenance contracts, which are being implemented gradually by deploying machinery and technical teams to specific areas on a weekly basis to ensure no disruption to traffic flow and to facilitate the orderly execution of the works.

The Ministry has outlined the field operations map for this week across main axes and residential areas as follows:

Highway and Main Roads Sector (This Week’s Works): Several major highways are completing milling and major resurfacing operations, including:

- Abdali Road and Sabiya Road

- Salwa Road (towards Kuwait City)

- Fahaheel Road (in the section opposite Mishref and Salwa areas)

- Fourth Ring Road (maintenance of the intersection with Maghrib Road, the stretch from the Maghrib intersection to the Damascus Street intersection, as well as the overpass at the Fourth Ring Road intersection towards Salwa)

- Seventh Ring Road (specifically from kilometer 24 to kilometer 27 in both directions)

Internal Roads Sector in Residential Areas (Weekly Plan by Governorate):

- Al Ahmadi Governorate: Fintas: Sections 6 and 8; Al Raqa: Section 1; Abu Halifa: Sections 1 and 2.

- Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate: Mubarak Al-Kabeer: Section 2; Al Qurain: Sections 1 to 5; Al Qasour: Sections 5, 6, and 7; Abu Fatira: Sections 1 to 5; Al Masa’il: Section 4; Adan: Section 2; Abu Al-Husaynia: Section 11.

- Hawalli Governorate: Jabriya: Sections 9 to 12; Salmiya: All sections on a rotating basis; Mubarak Al-Abdullah: All sections; Mishref: Sections 1, 2, and 6; Bayan: Sections 1, 2, 4, and 9 to 12, plus Bayan Palace Sections 1 and 2; Salwa: Sections 5 to 9 and Section 11; Al-Sadiq: Section 1; Hawalli: Section 1.
