Omani Foreign Ministry Summons Iranian Ambassador, Hands Over Protest Note Over Attacks on Musandam and Al Wusta Governorates

The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the recall of the Iranian ambassador to deliver a protest note in response to drone attacks targeting the Musandam and Ad Dakhiliyah governorates. In an official statement, the ministry said that Sheikh Khaled bin Hashel Al-Musalhi, Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs, summoned Musa Farhang, the Iranian ambassador accredited to the Sultanate of Oman, to deliver the protest note following attacks on sites in the Musandam and Ad Dakhiliyah governorates by drones.
During the meeting, Al-Musalhi expressed Oman’s displeasure at these irresponsible acts, calling for strict adherence to the principles of state sovereignty, good neighborliness, non-interference in internal affairs, and respect for the customs and ethical values that bind the two neighboring countries and their peoples.
