Al-Tabtabaee and Al-Mutaf discuss ways to enhance cooperation between Education and UNESCO

Minister of Education Eng. Syed Jalal Al-Tabtabaee met with Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Dr. Ali Al-Mutawa, at the Permanent Delegation’s headquarters. The meeting was attended by the official delegation accompanying the Minister, which included Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs Eng. Hamad Al-Hamad, Acting Director of the National Commission for Education, Culture and Science Adari Al-Qallaf, Acting Head of the UNESCO Section at the National Commission for Education, Culture and Science Shedad Matar, and Director of the Public Relations and Educational Media Department Arwa Al-Ayyar.

During the meeting, the Minister discussed several priority files in the fields of education and culture, as well as ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between Kuwait and UNESCO. He also received a briefing on the mechanisms for following up on Kuwait’s files with the organization, and the role played by the Permanent Representative’s office in representing the country and strengthening its presence in the organization’s programs and committees, thereby contributing to supporting national interests and expanding the scope of international cooperation.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Kuwait’s Permanent Delegation to UNESCO, and of strengthening the partnership with the organization. This is aimed at supporting efforts to develop the educational system, leveraging international expertise and experiences, and aligning with Kuwait’s vision to elevate the education sector and enhance its presence at both the regional and international levels.
