Tenders approves launching the tender for "Consulting Services for Network Operation" to fulfill the studies for the "Gulf Interconnection"

In line with the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy’s efforts to train national cadres in preparing operational and planning studies for the power grid, the Board of Directors of the Central Tenders Board recently approved the launch of a tender for consulting services related to studies and the operation of the power grid under the Monitoring and Control Centers sector.

Through this tender, the Ministry aims, in addition to training national cadres, to fulfill the studies required by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Interconnection Authority, thereby enhancing Kuwait’s participation alongside other member states of the Authority.

The Ministry seeks, through this tender, to support the operations of the electricity transmission networks and power stations sectors by engaging consultants to prepare specialized studies concerning protection systems in transmission stations and others related to power stations, contributing to the efficient and safe operation of the power system, particularly during the summer season.
