Czech player Noskova crowned Wimbledon women's singles champion

Czech player Linda Noskova, ranked ninth in the tournament, claimed the Wimbledon women’s singles title after defeating her compatriot Karolina Muchova, ranked tenth, in an unprecedented all-Czech final. Noskova won in straight sets, 6-2, 5-7, 6-3.

Muchova reached the final following a thrilling marathon victory over American star Coco Gauff in the semifinals, winning two sets to one. Noskova secured her place in her first major final by steadily defeating Ukraine’s Marta Kostyuk in straight sets.
