Ministry of Electricity and Water Participates in “Sustainable Living and Energy Efficiency in Buildings” Event

The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, represented by the national campaign for conserving energy and water, “Waffir,” and the Renewable Energy Department, participated in the event “Sustainable Living and Energy Efficiency in Buildings,” organized by Kuwait Oil Tankers Company for its employees, as part of efforts to promote the concepts of sustainability and the preservation of natural resources.

The participation included an awareness lecture on the importance of rationalizing electricity and water consumption, as well as daily best practices and modern solutions that contribute to enhancing consumption efficiency in workplaces and homes. It also highlighted the latest trends in renewable energy and their role in supporting environmental sustainability.

The Ministry also took part in the accompanying awareness exhibition, where it showcased the key initiatives of the national campaign for conserving energy and water, “Waffir,” along with several energy- and water-saving technologies and innovations, thereby raising environmental awareness and encouraging employees to adopt more sustainable practices and behaviors.

This participation comes within the framework of the Ministry’s commitment to expanding cooperation with state institutions and the oil sector, and unifying national efforts aimed at entrenching a culture of conservation, achieving optimal use of energy and water resources, and supporting the State of Kuwait’s direction toward a more sustainable future.
