Trump: US military fully prepared and capable of destroying Iran if it attempts to assassinate me

US President Donald Trump said that missiles are ready and targeted at Iran if it proceeds with its threat to assassinate him.

Trump wrote in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social: “There are 1,000 missiles ready and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, and they will be immediately followed by thousands of other missiles, should the Iranian government carry out its threat—made in various parts of the world—to assassinate (or attempt to assassinate) the current President of the United States, that is, me personally!”

He added: “The orders have already been issued, and the US military is fully prepared and capable—for a period of one year, which can be extended—to eliminate Iran and completely destroy all of its areas.”

Earlier, the US president had said that Iran “asked us to continue talks.” He added in a post on his Truth Social platform: “We agreed to that, but the United States made it clear to them—in no uncertain terms—that the ceasefire has ended.”

Trump said he had left instructions to bomb Iran if it succeeded in assassinating him. He told the New York Post that the instructions he left call for bombing Iran at unprecedented levels if he is assassinated, adding that “there is no new Iranian plan to assassinate me, and Tehran has wanted to kill me for years.” The US president continued: “I have long been the first target on Iran’s assassination list, and Israel has not provided any new information.”
