Libya condemns Iranian attacks on Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain: escalating regional tensions

Libya has condemned the Iranian attacks targeting Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain, reaffirming its full solidarity with them in the face of this aggression. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Libya’s Government of National Unity said that “these acts threaten the security of these three countries and exacerbate the state of tension in the region,” reiterating Libya’s complete solidarity with its sister nations and its firm rejection of all actions that undermine their security and sovereignty or endanger the lives of civilians and vital facilities. The statement considered that such attacks have a negative impact on regional security and peace, emphasizing the necessity of respecting state sovereignty and avoiding anything that escalates tensions in the region. In this regard, it called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint, prioritize dialogue, work to de-escalate tensions, and enhance regional security and stability, safeguarding the interests of the region’s peoples and preserving international peace and security. Libya’s stance comes amid rising regional tensions and repeated international calls to prevent the expansion of confrontations and protect the security of states, vital facilities, and civilians.
