Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Discusses Regional Developments with Indian Foreign Minister

Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani received Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, who is visiting Doha at the outset of a regional tour that will take him to Bahrain and Kuwait.

According to the Qatari news agency QNA, the meeting reviewed the cooperative relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them, particularly in the economic field, and discussed regional developments and their impact on the global economy and energy markets, as well as a number of issues of mutual interest. Both sides emphasized the importance of resolving disputes and conflicts through dialogue and diplomatic means, which contributes to enhancing security and stability at both the regional and international levels. The two sides agreed to continue strengthening cooperation on a number of priority files for Qatar and India, by activating joint working mechanisms and bilateral committees between the two countries.
