Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Discusses Cooperation Relations with Syrian Foreign Minister

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, received Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaybani in Doha. The Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported that the meeting reviewed the cooperative relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them, as well as the latest developments in Syria, along with a number of issues of mutual interest. During the meeting, the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister reiterated Qatar’s support for the unity, sovereignty, and independence of Syria, and for realizing the aspirations of its people to live with dignity and to build a state based on institutions and the rule of law. He also affirmed Qatar’s support for efforts to rebuild, develop, and stabilize Syria.
