Foreign Minister Condemns Continued Israeli Violations in the Occupied West Bank

Cairo - Khadija Hamouda: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, emphasized the deep fraternal and historical ties between Egypt and Palestine, and the commitment to continue enhancing bilateral cooperation, in a manner that supports the Palestinian Government and enables it to fulfill its responsibilities.

During a telephone conversation with Palestinian Prime Minister Dr. Mohammed Mustafa, Abdelatty exchanged views on developments in the Gaza Strip, as part of ongoing consultation and coordination between the two sides.

He stressed the importance of completing the implementation of the first-phase commitments of U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan, which would contribute to ensuring full access for humanitarian aid and creating conditions for transitioning to subsequent phases, leading to early recovery and reconstruction, while reaffirming the importance of empowering the Palestinian Authority to carry out its responsibilities in both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

Abdelatty also condemned the ongoing Israeli violations in the West Bank, including repeated incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound. He expressed firm rejection of annexation and settlement policies, describing them as a blatant violation of international law and a undermining of the prospects for achieving a two-state solution.

The call also addressed preparations for the donor conference scheduled to be held in Brussels this July. Minister Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s full support for the Palestinian Government and the importance of mobilizing international financial support for the Palestinian Authority, enabling it to meet its responsibilities and provide essential services to the Palestinian people, thereby bolstering their resilience and supporting stability in the Palestinian territories.
