Sheikh Mubarak Fahad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Director General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jointly Produced Programmes Production Organization, honored Ibrahim Youssef Al-Abdalmohsen, the organization’s first Director General, on the occasion of its 50th anniversary, in recognition of his pioneering role in building Gulf media during its formative years.

In a press statement, Sheikh Mubarak emphasized that the honor pays tribute to the pioneers who contributed to consolidating the organization’s media and educational mission, noting that the organization continues to develop sustainable Gulf content that combines the founders’ expertise with the innovation of younger generations.

For his part, Al-Abdalmohsen expressed his gratitude for this initiative, reflecting on his tenure leading the organization between 1976 and 1988—a period marked by the production of landmark works that remain etched in Gulf collective memory, such as “Open Sesame” and “Salamtak,” alongside his contributions to several influential awareness and media programs.
