This came during a meeting held by Rubio with his German counterpart, who is visiting the U.S. capital, Washington, according to a statement by State Department spokesperson Tommy Bigot. The spokesperson said that both sides reiterated their shared commitment between the United States and Germany to ensure safe navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and to guarantee that Iran never develops or acquires nuclear weapons.
