Turkish exports hit record high of $278 billion in a year

Istanbul, July 3 (KUNA) -- Turkish Commerce Minister Ömer Bolat announced on Friday that Turkey recorded exports worth $278 billion for the first time over the past 12 months. Bolat said at a press conference that exports during the first half of the current year reached $136.1 billion, while Turkey’s exports over the previous 12 months hit $278 billion for the first time. He clarified that by the end of last June, Turkey’s total exports of goods and services surpassed the $400 billion annual threshold for the first time in the country’s history. He noted that last June was an “exceptional month” for exports, with values reaching $24.94 billion, marking the highest level ever recorded for that month. Bolat also pointed out that June exports rose by 21.9 percent compared to the same month last year. He affirmed that June exports, nearing $25 billion, set a record for the month and represented the third-highest monthly export value in Turkish history, after December 2025, which recorded $26.4 billion, and April 2026, which reached $25.4 billion.
